This event, organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Méaulens, is an opportunity to get together and celebrate in a friendly, lively atmosphere. From Friday onwards, the streets of the Méaulens district of Arras are transformed to welcome a multitude of activities. The excitement is palpable from the very first hours, with meticulous preparations transforming every street corner into a party zone. The fairground rides, true symbols of this transformation, bring a dose of nostalgia and fun for young and old alike. Children laugh out loud as they hurtle along on the wooden horses and roller coasters, their faces lit up by the bright, colorful lights of the attractions.
Adults, too, are swept away by childhood memories and the magic of the rides.

The Nostalgie orchestra ball, a staple of local festive evenings, promises to get everyone dancing to familiar and popular tunes. From the very first notes, the orchestra creates a warm and lively atmosphere, inviting everyone to let themselves be carried away by the music.
Couples whirl around the dance floor, recreating the scenes of the popular balls of yesteryear, while groups of friends get together to share moments of complicity and joy. The music resonates throughout the neighborhood, uniting generations and creating unforgettable memories.

On Saturday evening,the Bavarian evening is an opportunity to discover the traditions and culture of Bavaria, with music, typical costumes and, of course, beer.
The streets of Méaulens are decked out in Bavarian colors, welcoming visitors in a festive and exotic atmosphere.
The musicians, dressed in lederhosen and dirndls, liven up the evening with lively, festive melodies, encouraging participants to dance and sing along. Food stalls offer Bavarian specialities such as pretzels, sausages and sauerkraut, providing a real culinary immersion. The large wooden tables set out in the streets allow you to enjoy these delicacies in good company, while toasting with mugs of fresh beer.

The Sunday flea market: a not-to-be-missed event

The highlight of Méaulens en fête isundoubtedly the big flea market on Sunday, from 9am to 6pm. Rue Méaulens, Rue du Crinchon, Rue du Rivage and Rue des Onze-Mille-Vierges come alive with over 300 exhibitors offering an impressive variety of goods.

Visitors can browse the stalls, looking for hidden treasures, bargains or simply for the pleasure of bargain hunting. The streets will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to allow exhibitors to set up and visitors to move around safely. For those who decided to take part at the last minute, registrations were still possible on site, notably due to the end of the collaboration with the fairgrounds.

This year, the fairgrounds opted not to participate in the fireworks display, opening the door to new exhibitors.

The day is also an opportunity to take advantage of the on-site refreshments and refreshment stands, offering refreshment and refreshment in a unique flea market atmosphere.
