Ticket to Death: A program packed with thrills and chills

This fourth edition of the Ticket to Death festival has maintained its essence while enriching itself with new activities, to the delight of horror film and immersive adventure enthusiasts. In addition to the screening of short horror films, whose selection promises to startle us, the 2024 edition innovates by integrating a terrifying escape game, a first for the event. Although subject to a booking fee, this is one of this year’s major attractions. The escape game, designed specifically for the festival, invites participants to plunge into a frightening atmosphere and solve puzzles under high pressure. Whether you’re a horror fan or simply curious about an immersive experience, this activity is sure to put your nerves to the test. In parallel, three screening sessions are scheduled over the two days.
Each session promises an intense cocktail of terror, suspense and cinematic creativity. The carefully selected short films reflect the diversity of the genre, from psychological thrillers to pure horror. Please note that these screenings, which are also ticketed and subject to reservation, will enable you to witness unique and captivating works from diverse horizons. And to spice up the experience, you, the audience, will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite short film, and thus play an active role in this year’s awards. It’s a new kind of interaction that reinforces the festival’s community spirit, just as the Arras Film Festival does in other ways.

Free festival activities for total immersion

In addition to ticketed activities, Ticket to Death 2024 offers a wide range of free events, guaranteeing a friendly and terrifying atmosphere. As in previous editions, you can test your knowledge with the horror cinema quiz, where the most erudite will have the opportunity to prove their expertise in the field. Fans of horrific tales will also be treated to storytelling sessions, where the most chilling tales will punctuate both days. These storytelling moments, immersed in an intimate atmosphere, recall the wakes of yesteryear when every shadow in the room became a source of fright. For those who prefer role-playing, Werewolf is also back, the perfect way to relax in the spirit of the festival. This must-see game will put your sense of deduction and cold-bloodedness to the test, all in an atmosphere full of mystery. Finally, this year’s exhibition promises to surprise and enrich the experience. Between macabre sculptures, dark paintings and disturbing visual creations, art in all its forms invites itself to the Hôtel de Guînes to offer an artistic vision of horror.
